Premier Li Keqiang to visit Myanmar

China and Myanmar will promote cooperation in connectivity, agriculture, ports, power and finance during Chinese Premier Li Ke-qiang's visit to the country, said Chinese Vice Foreign Minister Liu Zhenmin on Thursday.

Li will attend a series of leaders' meetings on East Asia cooperation from November 12 to 14 in Myanmar, and pay an official visit to the country at the invitation of Myanmar's President U Thein Sein.

This is Li's first visit to Myanmar since he took office, said Liu, adding that the visit is of great significance in boosting traditional friendship and the comprehensive strategic partnership of cooperation between the two countries.
