Vietnam to offer amnesty to 14 foreign offenders

HANOI, Nov. 30 (Xinhua) -- Under Vietnamese State President's2016 amnesty decisions announced here Wednesday, 14 foreign offenders, including nine Chinese, three Lao, one South Korean, and one Australian, will receive amnesty soon.

Vice chairman of the Presidential Office Giang Son announced the decisions, which will grant amnesty to Vietnamese and foreign 4,180 prisoners, 186 criminals having their sentences postponed and 18 others having their sentences suspended, Vietnam News Agency reported.

The decisions will come into force from Dec. 1.
