Houthi attack injures 5 civilians in Saudi border city

RIYADH, April 18 (Xinhua) -- Five civilians, including a woman and a girl, were injured in Saudi border city of Najran on Tuesday in military projectiles attack by Houthis in Yemen, according to Saudi civil defense.

It was the latest in a series of similar attacks against Saudi border cities, which left tens of civilians dead in over two years.

Earlier in the day, 12 military personnel of the Saudi air force died when their helicopter crashed in Marib governorate in Yemen.

As part of a regional tour, U.S. Defence Secretary James Mattis said upon arrival to Riyadh on Tuesday that missile attacks by Houthi militias should be stopped permanently.
