China rolls out first rhinoceros get-close project
China's first project to enable members of the public familiarize with rhinoceroses was recently launched in the Pu'er Sun-River National Park, southwestern China's Yunnan province, China News reported on August 15.
The project was launched after seven African white rhinoceroses were introduced in the park in March 2013. The last wild rhinoceros in the area went extinct in 1933. Now, tourists can get close to the rhinoceroses and learn about their habits in a special interaction area in the park.[ Editor: Wang Peiyao ]
