Chris Paul recovers well, says Rockets coach D'Antoni
WASHINGTON, May 23 (Xinhua) -- Houston Rockets point guard Chris Paul is trying to reach his first ever NBA Finals and he is not letting a sore foot get in the way of pursuing his goal.
According to the Houston Chronicle on Wednesday, Paul's troubled foot has been bothering him since the fourth quarter of the Rockets' Game 2 win against the Golden State Warriors in the West Conference Finals, but now he is recovering well.
"Chris felt better. His foot felt better," Houston coach Mike D'Antoni was quoted by the Houston Chronicle as saying.
"He said, 'Coach, I'm telling you, if I can get my foot right, we'll beat these guys.' Now he got his foot right. And just like I said, we're back to even," added D'Antoni.
Paul scored 27 points in Houston's 95-92 Game 4 win and the Rockets evened the series at two games apiece. The superstar played poorly in Game 3 when he seemed to lack explosiveness, finishing with 13 points on 5-of-16 shooting.[ Editor: WPY ]
