Governor houses in Pakistan's Punjab, Sindh open for Public
ISLAMABAD, Sept. 11 (Xinhua) -- Newly elected governor of Pakistan's east Punjab province said public will allowed to visit the state-owned governor's house on Sundays.
Governor Chaudhry Mohammad Sarwar told a press briefing in the provincial capital of Lahore on Monday that his party Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf made promise that common people will be allowed to enter state buildings and now he is fulfilling the promise.
Spreading over a vast area of land in Lahore, the highly secured governor's house, which was a no-go-zone for general public, is a historic building with centuries old architecture and antique furniture.
General public will be allowed to visit the governor's residence from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. local time every Sunday.[ Editor: Xueying ]
