Poverty alleviation efforts taken in "cliffside village" in China's Sichuan
A woman makes live broadcast for fans on the internet about Atulie'er Village, Zhaojue County, Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture, southwest China's Sichuan Province, Nov. 23, 2019. Atulie'er Village is a famous "cliffside village" in Liangshan Yi Autonomous Prefecture in Sichuan. In the past, villagers here had no access to roads. When going out, they had to climb down an 800-meter-high cliff by a rattan ladder. Now a 2,556-steps steel ladder has been built, significantly improving the travel conditions for locals. Besides, 4G network, banking service points for agricultural production, olive and notoginseng planting and tourism promotion services are now accessible to the villagers. (Xinhua/Wang Xi)
