Three Gorges reservoir drops water level to contain water from potential seasonal flooding
Photo taken on June 29, 2020 shows the Three Gorges Dam in Yichang, central China’s Hubei Province. Recently, the Three Gorges saw an increased inflow due to the heavy rainfall in the upper streams of the Yangtze River. IN order to contain water from potential seasonal flooding, the Three Gorges reservoir dropped the water level for the first time this year. (Photo by Zheng Jiayu/Guangming Picture)
