Zhagana, an ancient city surrounded by rocky spires, is located at Yiwa township, about 30 kilometers northwest of Diebu county, Gannan Tibetan autonomous prefecture, Northwest China's Gansu province, with its terrain resembling a huge palace on a grand scale or a natural rock wall.
With its precipitous mountains and winding mists, this fairyland integrates various productive activities including nomadic lifestyle, farming, hunting and wood chopping, becoming a model of harmonious coexistence between human and nature.
