Green city themed men's basketball invitational concludes in Inner Mongolia

BAYANNUR, Inner Mongolia, China, Oct. 19 (Xinhua) -- The second edition of the green city-themed men's basketball invitational tournament concluded on Sunday evening in Bayannur City, north China's Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, after the Bayannur team beat the team from Datong City, north China's Shanxi Province, 106-85 in the final.

The Bayannur team, which has 12 members with an average height of 193 centimeters, has participated in many national and provincial competitions and has won seven championships since its foundation in 2011.

The team from Luoyang City, central China's Henan Province, claimed the bronze medal after five days of competition, including round-robin and cross sections.

A total of eight teams from different parts of China participated in the tournament.

The tournament is organized to promote a healthy lifestyle for residents, organizers said. Enditem
