Revolutionary cultural relics help Chinese youth connect with Party history
BEIJING, May 19 (Xinhua) -- An official with the Communist Youth League (CYL) Wednesday said that the Party will make good use of revolutionary cultural relics to help Chinese youth better understand the history.
Zeng Rui, head of the juvenile division of the CYL Central Committee, said that since the start of 2021, educational activities have been carried out based on revolutionary cultural relics to help teach young Chinese about the history of the Party in a vivid way.
The CYL has encouraged the youth to visit local revolution museums and created online Party history courses for them, Zeng said at a press conference.
"We will also form a team to discover the stories behind the revolutionary cultural relics and share them with the juveniles," Zeng said.
Liu Yang, an official with the National Cultural Heritage Administration, said that the administration is exploring new ways to attract young people such as short videos and live streaming.
