Intangible cultural heritage of Yi lacquerware decoration technique in SW China's Sichuan
Yi lacquerware decoration technique in Dafang County, Bijie City, southwest China's Guizhou Province originated in the Eastern Han Dynasty. It takes more than 60 working procedures from harvesting raw lacquer, forming bases, applying lacquer to decorating, which can only be processed by craftsmen who have been engaged in lacquerware making for a long time. In June 2008, "Yi lacquerware decoration technique" was listed in the second batch of national intangible cultural heritage list. (Han Xianpu/Guangming Picture)
