Romantic drama "Man in Love" tops Chinese box office
BEIJING, June 18 (Xinhua) -- Romantic movie "Man in Love" led the Chinese box office chart on Thursday, according to data from the China Movie Data Information Network on Friday.
Starring Roy Chiu and Wei-Ning Hsu, the movie pocketed 9.51 million yuan (about 1.48 million U.S. dollars) on Thursday, its seventh day of screening.
The movie tells the romance between an uneducated man who asks for payment of debt for a living and the daughter of his creditor.
Domestic sports comedy "Never Stop" came in second, raking in more than 5.67 million yuan.
Japanese animation "Hello World" ranked third on the daily chart, grossing nearly 4.22 million yuan. Enditem
