Anti-epidemic drama "Chinese Doctors" continues to lead Chinese box office
BEIJING, July 12 (Xinhua) -- Domestic anti-epidemic-themed movie "Chinese Doctors" continued to top Chinese box office chart on Sunday, China Movie Data Information Network reported Monday.
On its third day of screening, the movie pocketed over 132.6 million yuan (around 20.47 million U.S. dollars), accounting for over 70 percent of the day's total.
Based on real events, "Chinese Doctors" provides a panoramic view of the arduous fight against the COVID-19 outbreak in Wuhan.
Coming in second was China's animation "New Happy Dad and Son 4: Perfect Dad," which earned about 13.66 million yuan on Sunday, the third day of its release.
Domestic drama "1921" garnered 12.41 million yuan, ranking third on the daily chart. The movie tells stories about the founding of the Communist Party of China in the year 1921. Enditem
