China's Zhangjiajie reports six new confirmed COVID-19 cases

The municipal headquarters on COVID-19 prevention and control of Zhangjiajie announced on Aug. 3 that all the people in Zhangjiajie, including residents and tourists, were not allowed to leave the city as part of efforts to curb the latest resurgence of COVID-19. Now more than 1,200 tourists are still stranded in the city. Between July 29 and Aug. 9, a total of 53 locally transmitted confirmed cases have been reported in Zhangjiajie. The city now has three high-risk areas and 11 medium-risk areas for COVID-19. (Xinhua/Chen Sihan)
