In Handan, Hebei province, children are spending their summer vacation learning martial arts.
They learn a local style called Hongquan, or red fist, a provincial-level intangible cultural heritage in Hebei. They are taught free by local masters to help build their bodies and inherit the culture.
The teaching and learning activities for summer were started in 1983 and take place in Handan's Wangkan village.
