Abalone breeding industry upgraded in SE China
Aerial photo taken on July 14, 2020 shows a deep sea breeding platform of abalone in Lianjiang County of southeast China's Fujian Province. In recent years, the abalone breeding industry in Lianjiang has been upgraded and developed through the introducing of deep sea breeding platform and innovation of breeding skills. In 2019, the output of abalone in Lianjiang has reached 48,000 tons, creating an output value of 5.6 billion yuan (about 800 million U.S. dollars) and providing more than 50,000 jobs in the abalone-related industry.
