Xi encourages development of farmers' cooperatives suited to local conditions

CHANGCHUN, July 23 (Xinhua) -- Xi Jinping, general secretary of the Communist Party of China Central Committee, has encouraged the development of farmers' cooperatives suited to local conditions across the country.

Xi made the remarks Wednesday afternoon during his inspection tour to a farmers' cooperative in Lishu County, Siping City, in northeast China's Jilin Province. ■
