Lantern Festival celebration held in S China's Qionghai

The Lantern Festival falls on the 15th day of the first month in the lunisolar Chinese calendar, which marks the end of the Chinese New Year celebration. People in Qionghai has the tradition of celebrating Lantern Festival with one-day delay. On the 16th day of the first Chinese lunar month, rituals to commemorate and venerate deceased forbears and massive lantern shows were held to celebrate the first carnivals of the year after the Spring Festival.
