Located in Jiangxi Province of China’s southeast, Jianggang Mountains is a famous tourist resort.

In 2021 so far, it has attracted 12 million visitors. More people, especially members of the CPC, are traveling to Jinggang Mountains not because of its picturesque natural scenery, but its ties to China’s revolutionary history.

On October 27, 1927, Mao Zedong led a troop of Red Army soldiers to Jinggang Mountains. The following year, the troop led by another CPC leader Zhu De came and joined Mao’s troops, and established a revolutionary base here. They took away the land held by landlords and gave them to peasants, and won the support of peasants. They successfully mobilized peasants to join the Communist Party of China and made them the main force of the armed revolution.

It was from here that the Communist Party of China emerged stronger. Jinggang Mountains has hence become a historical symbol in the heats of the Chinese people.

There are more than 100 well-preserved historical sites in Jinggang Mountains, which have become an important place for party members to visit and learn about the history of the Chinese revolution and receive patriotic educations.
