"Yanqing Folks" help assist Winter Olympics and share local development

On Feb. 5, 2022, over 60 foreign and Chinese journalists came to Beijing's Yanqing District to eat dumplings, visit homestays, and climb the Great Wall just in time for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics. As Yanqing District is one of the three game zones for the Winter Olympics, many Yanqing locals, affectionally nicknamed as "Yanqing Folks", treated us with warm hospitality. Let's hear what a local volunteer has to share about her experience volunteering for Beijing 2022. In addition, a local worker also shared with us how tourism helped boost the development of Yanqing's homestay industry, which in turned increased local employment opportunities for Yanqing residents.

For the Winter Olympics, three sports, Alpine Skiing, Bobsleigh/Skeleton and Luge will be held at the Yanqing Zone. Let's look forward to the games and hope more people will discover the beauty of Yanqing through the Winter Olympics.
