Experience Yanqing's folk culture celebration of Chinese New Year and Winter Olympics

On Feb. 5, 2022, Chinese and foreign journalists came to Beijing's Yanqing District to participate in a special event in celebration of the Chinese New Year and the Winter Olympics. In Yanqing District, 74 kilometers away from downtown Beijing, one can find the Badaling Great Wall and one of the three games zones for the Winter Olympics. Yanqing also boasts unique folk cultures, where we enjoyed folklore performances on our visit to Yaoguanling Village. In addition, we also saw Yanqing craftsmen demonstrate their intangible cultural heritage skills. One of our journalists had the opportunity to personally make a hairy monkey.
