Pic story: water management system of Chang River basin well applied in E China's Jiangxi

Chang River in Ruichang City, east China's Jiangxi Province has been the mother river for generations. However, with the acceleration of industrialization and urbanization, Chang River once lost its beautiful scenery before the implementation of the river management system.

Over the years, by implementing the river management system, the overall water ecological environment of Ruichang City has been largely promoted. The water, shore, industry and environment now all demonstrate the well done work here in Ruichang.

In recent years, Ruichang has earnestly practiced the concept of "lucid waters and lush mountains are invaluable assets", solidly promoted the implementation of "river management system", focused on protecting water resources, preventing and controlling water pollution, improving water environment and restoring water ecology, and continuously improved the ecological environment of Chang River.

"The Chang River used to be dirty and messy. Now it is reborn. The rivers and lakes in the region now have clear water, green shore and beautiful scenery. People's sense of well-being and gain has also been continuously improved." Wang Xiaomin, the deputy secretary of the party committee and director of the Guilin Community of Ruichang City, said.

In order to further improve the long-term management of rivers and lakes, Ruichang City has also nominated local river chiefs, party member river chiefs and volunteers titled "River Xiaoqing", etc., to strengthen social forces in the management of rivers and lakes, through which it has fully covered the management chain of the river and lake and has ensured that every river and lake can be managed well.

It is known that by 2025, 100 (sections) happy rivers will be basically achieved in the main and tributaries of the rivers covering a basin area of more than 50 square kilometers.
