Xianju County in Zhejiang Province has leveraged its ecological resources to develop the "Waxberry-Tea-Chicken-Bee" integrated mountain agriculture model, enhancing both product value and farmer incomes. Centered on ancient waxberry groves, this polyculture system allows tea trees, free-range chickens, and bees to coexist sustainably, while the county-led brand ShenXian DaNong converts ecological advantages into market strength. Through technical training, e-commerce, and livestreaming initiatives, young locals have returned home to boost sales, helping over 2,000 residents earn more than 3 million yuan (USD 430K). Today, the waxberry industry chain is valued at over 4.5 billion yuan (USD 645 million), supporting 100,000 farming households, promoting rural revitalization, and demonstrating how brand power can transform traditional agriculture into a modern, sustainable, and profitable enterprise.
