Since the first case of COVID-19, the disease has become a pandemic that has spread across the globe. As of August 31, 2020, more than 25 million confirmed COVID-19 cases and over 800,000 deaths have been reported to WHO.
The United States, now the country with highest confirmed cases, account for approximately 24% of officially reported global cases. Since March, COVID-19 has spread quickly and widely around the country, and peaked in July of more than 70,000 cases confirmed per day. The country has recently witnessed a decline from previous peaks, during the past week, it confirmed an average of 41,000 new cases per day.
We're still unclear if COVID-19 has peaked. Neither do we know when it will end.
So, it is important for everyone to keep alert and stay healthy!
