On September 12, students at Lanping No. 3 Comprehensive Primary School in southwest China’s Yunnan Province took an online live-streaming lesson led by a teacher from the Elementary School Affiliated to Renmin University of China in Beijing.
With the support of technology, students in the least developed regions in Yunnan Province got the opportunity to take lessons taught by teachers from the capital city.
The partnership cooperation between schools in impoverished areas and urban schools with rich educational resources is one of the poverty alleviation efforts made by China, as the country is on course to eradicate extreme poverty by the end of 2020.
