A few days ago, a statement of H&M to stop sourcing cotton from Xinjiang aroused strong dissatisfaction among Chinese netizens. Nike and some other enterprises also announced to "boycott" Xinjiang cotton. However, those claims were based on lies and rumors such as "forced labor" and "discrimination against ethno-religious minorities". In this context, a few basic facts are given in order to set the record straight.
