Dear young friends,

  Exchanges and mutual learning enrich civilizations. A variety of civilizations that interact with and complement each other give rise to a world of rich cultures. To write a new chapter of friendship among young people around the world by further strengthening communication and understanding, China Soong Ching Ling Foundation welcomes teenagers aged 10 to 18 around the world to participate in the 2025 China Soong Ching Ling Foundation "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" Event. The arrangements for the Event are as follows:

  IV. Eligible Participants

  Teenagers aged from 10 to 18 (born between January 1, 2006, and December 31, 2014) are eligible to participate. Only entries featuring a single individual on camera will be accepted for review.

  V. Awards

  "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" will be selected and awarded certificates and prizes. Depending on the circumstances, the "Junior Cultural Ambassadors" will be invited to China for an exchange program, with accommodation, meals, and local transportation covered by the organizer. International travel expenses will be self-funded.

  Electronic participating certificates will be issued to participants and organizations that do not receive awards.

  VI. Entry Requirements

  1. Languages

  The recommended languages for the video are UN official languages: Chinese, English, French, Russian, Arabic, and Spanish. Foreign youths are encouraged to use Chinese, while Chinese youths are encouraged to use foreign languages. Extra points will be given to entries that meet the above conditions.

  2. Length

  The video should be less than 4 minutes. The duration of the self-introduction and ending part of the video should be less than 1 minute, and that of the main body should be no longer than 3 minutes.

  3. Contents

  (2) Main body: Food represents culture and serves as a vital medium for cultural exchange. Across China, diverse histories, regional traditions, ethnic customs, and food crops have given rise to a rich array of unique cuisines. Please select one Chinese food you love and explore aspects such as its preparation techniques, local customs, historical culture, evolution, or its status as intangible cultural heritage. You may also have the Chinese food of your choice linked or compared with food from your home country. With rich content closely related to the theme, your video should be well-produced and compelling while evoking emotion.

  (3) Ending part: Please extend your best wishes for the Event.

  4. Video Format

  The video needs to feature clear, stable image quality, complete composition, and synchronized sound and picture. The video should be shot horizontally in uncompressed avi, mov, wmv, mpg, etc., with a resolution of 1920*1080. Unauthorized materials and videos should not be used, and watermarks, trademarks, and subtitles are not allowed in the video.

  VII. Registration

  1. A registration port is now available on the web page of the Event. Organizations or individuals should fill in the registration information online and submit videos as required. Submission of the online registration form and entries marks the completion of the registration process. Updated submissions will overwrite previous entries. Other forms of registration will not be accepted.

  VIII. Event Timeline

  3. Exchange Program: Tentatively scheduled for June 2025.

  IX. Other Matters

  1. The entries should be consistent with the theme of the Event, featuring positive content. Texts or picture information that may cause disputes or controversy should be avoided.

  2. All entries submitted should be original and with no infringement of the copyright, patent rights, trademark rights, reputation rights, and/or other legal rights of any third party. In the case of any unqualified entry, the organizer has the right to unilaterally cancel qualifications of participation or awards at any point.

  3. The submission of a video is deemed an authorization for the organizer to use the content of the video for editing, as well as online and offline promotion and display.

  4. Any matters not covered herein will be further announced as necessary. China Soong Ching Ling Foundation reserves the right of final interpretation of this announcement.
