Innovation makes us confident

U.S. assault against Huawei didn’t make it collapse, it stands more firmly instead. Huawei’s confidence comes from its strong technological strength and innovation. At present, there are 26 Huawei research and development centers in the world with a huge research team composed of 700 mathematicians, 800 physicists, 120 chemists, around 7,000 experts in basic research fields and over 60,000 engineers.
Confidence comes from innovation, which is applicable to a company as well as a country.
China has made brilliant achievements in scientific and technological innovation, constantly improved since reform and opening-up began, especially since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China (CPC). Nowadays, China’s innovation index ranking is on the rise for its increasing major scientific and technological achievements, patent applications and research papers.
That’s because China has implemented an innovation-driven development strategy, issued a series of development plans on scientific and technological innovation in major fields and industries and built a bunch of funds and incubators for innovation and entrepreneurship.
China also has expanded opening-up, improved business environment and sped up the improvement of intellectual property protection system so as to let Chinese and foreign companies follow market principles and the spirit of contract, realize effective allocation of technologies, labor and capital.
China’s economy is full of vigor and energy because of innovation. Improved innovative systems, strong innovative impetus and passion make China more confident in steady and sound economic development.
Many U.S. people of insight are aware of the secret of China’s innovative development. But the U.S. government still calls black white, accusing China of "stealing U.S. intellectual property", and trying to crack down on China’s innovative companies like Huawei, Hikvision, and Dajiang.
Both China and relevant countries have benefited from the processes of technology introduction and overflow, which is the win-win result of open and mutually-beneficial cooperation. Therefore, competition in innovation is not zero-sum game but win-win cooperation.
