Stand with China: Ethiopian Students Union in Wuhan wrote an open letter in support of Wuhan and China

The Ethiopian Students Union in Wuhan wrote an open letter in support of Wuhan and China, praying for a significant victory of China’s fight against the virus.

Since the outbreak of the COVID-19 in Wuhan, central China’s Hubei Province, many African countries helped China at the earliest time despite of their own limited national conditions. Joining hands to fight the pandemic, China and African countries have demonstrated sincere friendship.

A day before the communique issued on February 7 by the 36th Ordinary Session of the AU Executive Council, expressing African countries’ solidarity with the Chinese government and people in the efforts to counter spread of the novel coronavirus as well as their confidence in China’s ability to deal with the challenges, the Ethiopian Students Union in Wuhan wrote an open letter in support of Wuhan and China, praying for a significant victory of China’s fight against the virus.

Ethiopia and China share a rock-solid friendship of a long history as revealed in the face of the pandemic. In this letter, Ethiopian students reviewed the similarities between two sides, and emphasized their confidence in China’s ability to overcome the adversity.

As China’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Mr. Zhao Lijian said in a press conference, “African countries standing with China in times of adversity is a perfect demonstration of a community with a shared future for mankind.”

We Ethiopian’s in Wuhan believe in China and Wuhan! Go Wuhan! Go China! Refueling!!!!!! Ethiopia-China, we have a lot in common! We struggle for people! We setback challenges with patriotic people! We defeat enemy like no other! We strive for prosperity as brave as a lion! We believe in you we believe in Wuhan! You are our family, Wuhan our second home! Go Wuhan! Go China! Refueling!!!!!!
