To celebrate the upcoming Lunar Year of the Ox on February 12, the United Nations Postal Administration officially issued a special stamp sheet of the "Chinese Lunar Zodiac" series for the Year of the Ox. The stamp sheet contains 10 stamps, each with a face value of 1.2 US dollars (about 6.5 yuan), which is the standard international postage of the United States. The main face of the stamp is the emblem of the United Nations, and the secondary note and background are the image of the Year of the Ox. The stamp sheets continue the tradition of the United Nations "Chinese Lunar Zodiac" series of stamps, with red and gold as the main colors, and traditional Chinese paper-cutting as artistic inspiration. The designer is Wang Huming from China. The United Nations Postal Administration started to issue Chinese Lunar Zodiac stamps in May 2010. This year’s Xin Chou Year of the Ox stamp is the twelfth Chinese zodiac stamp in the series. So far, this series of stamps has included all 12 animal images of the Chinese zodiac.
