China adopts amended annexes to HKSAR Basic Law to ensure a brighter prospect for the city

The amendments of the Annex I and Annex II to the Basic Law of the HKSAR Basic Law were passed by the NPC on Mar. 30, 2021.

It embodies the common aspiration of the Chinese people, including the Hong Kong compatriots.

The new electoral system will help foster a better political, social, legal and business environment and usher in brighter development prospects for Hong Kong.
