Rivers restored to improve living quality in SE China's Zhejiang

Photo taken on Apr. 9, 2021 shows people patrolling along the river in Xingang Village of Huzhou City, south-eastern China's Zhejiang Province. The local government firmly implemented the river management mechanism of setting up river chiefs, who would take charge of the rivers and lakes within their jurisdiction. Efforts such as intercepting the waste on the river surface, cleaning up the mess on shore and improving river water quality were made to improving the living quality of residents in riverside area.
