China railway express: a "life express" on the Eurasia

Despite the negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, trade volume among Belt and Road countries remains stable in general and is better than expected. China-Europe Railway Express(CRexpress) outperforms other freight shipping routes and helps stabilize the global health resource supply along the way.

At a sub-forum on speeding up trade connection in times of pandemic isolation during the Boao Forum for Asia Annual Conference 2021, Jens Eskelund, managing director of Maersk China Ltd. and vice president of the European Union Chamber of Commerce in China, acknowledged the important role of CRexpress in promoting Sino-EU trade during the pandemic. He stressed that the China-Europe freight train service is an indispensable part of the global fight against the epidemic and has huge development potentials.
