The accession of China to the WTO has been the most important milestone in the history of modern trade. To have China in the family of WTO has also brought a lot of new hope to the multilateral system, and especially to the multilateral trading system. Uruguay and China share this very strong commitment on free trade. We are absolutely convinced that prosperity to mankind will come with more free trade, with a trade that is more just and that includes always developing countries.
