According to the provisions of the CPC Constitution, it is the obligation of every CPC member to pay Party membership dues to the organization. The CPC Constitution sets that Party dues must be used for Party activities, and serve five main purposes:
First, training of Party members;
Second, purchase of newspapers, periodicals, materials, audio and video products and equipment used for Party members’ education;
Third, awards of advanced grassroots Party organizations, outstanding communist Party members and outstanding Party workers;
Fourth, subsidies for Party members in economic difficulties;
Fifth, subsidies for Party members who have suffered serious natural disasters; or for maintenance and repair of educational facilities for grassroots Party members.
After a hundred years, the CPC’s Party membership dues system continues to play an important role in gathering strength, regulating the organization and strengthening faith.
