As the most “international” area in Beijing, Sanlitun has always gathering trendy culture, and the population it influences are also different from that of other regions. With the joining of Page One, Yan Ji You, Beijing Sanlian Taofen Bookstore and “Chaoyang Urban Bookstore-Chunfeng Xixi Pavilion”, Sanlitun sees a unique “reading culture belt” between the traditional residential area and the international business district. Such a dense bookstore community is unparalleled in Beijing.
Sanlitun characteristic literary block is only an epitome of the public cultural construction in Chaoyang District. In recent years, “literary Chaoyang” has built a “four-network-in-one” public reading service system. The “four networks” include traditional public library service network, urban block library service network with self-service library as the main body, digital library service network based on electronic reading room and shared engineering service points, and customized reading service network with mobile library as the main body. They support each other to form an “all-in-one” characteristic public reading service system covering Chaoyang District.
