On October 9, 2011, the open, fully automated container terminal along the coast of Rizhao Port, Shandong Province, comes into operation. On the basis of traditional terminals, Rizhao Port had built a fully automated container terminal with the basic layout of remotely controlled quay crane, automated rail cranes, and unmanned container trucks in the mode of “independent innovation + domestic technology”, greatly reducing the comprehensive operation cost.
