Except for a small number of permanent venues such as the Ice Cube and the National Speed Skating Hall, most of the supporting infrastructure of Beijing Winter Olympics are mainly temporary facilities, including spectator stands, broadcast towers, Bridges, LED screens, toilets and temporary rooms. On December 30, 2021, Liu Gang, a member of the "Science and Technology Winter Olympics" team and professor of the School of Civil Engineering of Chongqing University, demonstrates a monitoring system developed for the safe operation and maintenance of large-scale high-capacity temporary facilities under complex terrain in cold mountainous areas at the Civil Engineering Experimental Center of Chongqing University.
