British Queen: I've Been to Many Places, but China's Great Wall is the Most Beautiful

October in Autumn is the season of harvest, and also the season when Beijing is the most beautiful in the year.

In the autumn of 1986, Queen Elizabeth II came to China. This was the first time in history that the Queen of the United Kingdom.had visited China. She brougth a copy of the Imperial Commerce Book written by Elizabeth I to the Wanli Emperor of the Ming Dynasty and presented it to China as a gift.

The Great Wall is a window of China for people across the world. Standing on the top of the Badaling Great Wall in Beijing, the Queen looked far into the distance, and the Great Wall on mountain ridges was just like a golden dragon, shining brightly. In front of her eyes were dark green pines and crimson maple leaves... as gorgeous as her legendary life. The queen left this line with deep emotion – "I have been to many places, but the Great Wall of China is the most beautiful."

With such a beautiful and majestic scenery, the atmosphere between the host and the guest was naturally pleasant and friendly. The kind of scenery was of course not strange to the Queen, as in the United Kingdom, the Hadrian's Wall is also a site of World Culture Heritage, just like the Great Wall of China.

Along with laughter and pleasant talks, the Queen took many beautiful shots of the Great Wall. The Queen's visit was just like the fruit from the season of harvest in Sino-UK relations.
