CPC 101: CPC Grassroots Organizations Forming an "Iron Wall" against Covid-19

Grassroots members of the CPC went to the front line during the fight against Covid-19, building an “Iron Wall” against the pandemic for the people.

When Covid-19 wreaked havoc, they walked out of their offices and fought on the front line. A huge number of village and township cadres, police officers and community workers guarded on their posts to monitor the epidemic and ensure that preventive and control measures were put in place in every community and on every street.

A large number of medical staff rushed to Wuhan, then the “epicenter” of the epidemic in China, to man the front line of prevention and control. They included veterans who had fought SARS and Ebola virus, as well as millennials who had just submitted their applications to join the Party. In the process of building the immunity barrier, grassroots medical staff and Party volunteers actively engaged in vaccination work, despite wind gust and scorching heat, to ensure efficient and safe vaccination, adding another invisible “protective layer” for the people.

From the rescue and treatment in the intensive care wards to the door-to-door inspections in urban and rural communities; working extra hours in factory workshops and around the clock in research laboratories......

At critical moments when lives were endangered by the virus, more than 4.8 million grassroots Party organizations operated efficiently, weaving a gigantic net of epidemic prevention and control in all parts of the country and in all walks of life. More than 39 million Party members worked on this net as the “nerve endings” of epidemic control, demonstrating the Party’s strength through every action and in every corner of the society.
