China launches the world’s largest electric cruise ship

Photo taken on Mar. 29, 2022 shows the maiden voyage ceremony of the "Yangtze Three Gorges 1", the world’s largest electric cruise ship, held at the dock of Maoping Port in Zigui County, Yichang City, central China's Hubei Province, marking its official operation of tourist route in the Three Gorges reservoir area. It is known that the ship is 100 metres long, 16.3 metres wide, and 4 metres deep, with 15 independent battery packs adding up to around 7.5 megawatt hours.
