Farmers across China busy harvesting winter wheat

As winter wheat now enters harvest season in China, wheat fields have turned golden, forming a beatiful pastoral scenery. Farmers are busy harvesting winter wheat with the help of modern machinery to embrace the first round of harvesting this year.

Impacted by the rare autumn flood in 2021, winter wheat was sown late in many provinces in China, and the condition of the siddlings before winter season became complex. In order to stabilize grain production, a series of solid measures have been carried out by the central government as well as local governments since this year, in effort to ensure a bumper harvest.

Meanwhile, localities have taken steady steps to organize trans-district harvest operations, and have made every effort to ensure the harvest against rainy weather.
