Nalati Grassland, located in the hinterland of the Tianshan Mountains and the eastern end of the Ili River Valley, covers an area of 1848 square kilometers with an average altitude of 1,800 meters. The average summer temperature is about 20 degrees Celsius and the annual precipitation is 880 millimeters. With beautiful natural scenery, rich folk customs and rich history and culture, Nalati is the grassland with the largest concentration of Kazakh people in the world. It is known as the "open-air museum" that reflects and shows the traditional life and habits of the Kazakh people.
