Huazhong University of Science and Technology celebrates 70th anniversary

Huazhong University of Science and Technology (HUST) in central China's Hubei Province celebrated its 70th anniversary on October 6.

At the anniversary celebration, Li Yuanyuan, Party secretary of HUST, said that during the past seven decades, HUST has brought up more than 700,000 talents of various kinds for the country.

President of HUST You Zheng said over the past 70 years, the university has trained a large number of high-quality graduates who work hard and make great contributions in their respective work. They include academicians, winners of the highest national science and technology awards, and models of the times.

In the last five years, the number of HUST graduates has remained at around 15,000 per year.

Situated in Wuhan, the capital city of Hubei Province, HUST is a comprehensive research university.
