Pic Story: Agricultural modernization of NE China's Great Northern Wilderness over past decade

Since the 18th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, China has accelerated the pace of agricultural modernization, transformation of agricultural development mode and agricultural technological innovation, having embarked on a road of agricultural modernization with China characteristics.

The total grain output of Great Northern Wilderness increased by 10% from 42.104 billion jin in 2012 to 46.311 billion jin in 2021. In the past ten years, the comprehensive mechanization rate of main crops in China has exceeded 70%. To safeguard the national food security, Beidahuang Group has maintained the comprehensive mechanization level of crops at over 99.7%. The contribution rate of agricultural scientific and technological progress has reached 76.28%, contributing 1.47 trillion jin of grain to the country, ranking first in the country for 12 consecutive years.

Agriculture is becoming a new advantage in the revitalization of northeast China. Intelligent seedling-raising, 5G+ Beidou navigation, unmanned stirring and land preparation, unmanned transplanting and so many other mechanized and intelligent farming equipments are widely used, which have become the representatives of the advanced productive forces of China's agricultural modernization and played a decisive role in the high-quality development of Great Northern Wilderness agriculture. In 2021, the Great Northern Wilderness Collection achieved eighteen consecutive harvests.

The past decade marked the fastest-growing of modern agriculture in China, and it is also a decade of reform and development in the Great Northern Wilderness.
