Beijing Central Axis Protection and Management Plan (2022-2035) was officially promulgated and implemented on January 28, specifying for the first time the specific boundaries of the Central Axis Protection Areas, which includes a total area of 51.3 square kilometers of heritage areas and buffer zones. With a total length of 7.8 kilometers, Beijing Central Axis is a path starts from the Bell and Drum Tower in the north, and goes southward passing Wanning Bridge, Jingshan Mountain, the Forbidden City, Duan Gate, Tian'anmen, Waijinshui Bridge, Tian'anmen Square and its architectural complex, Zhengyang Gate, the remains of the southern section of the Central Axis, and ends at Yongding Gate; the Imperial Ancestral Temple and the Alter of Land and Grain, the Temple of Heaven and the Temple of Agriculture are symmetrical located on both sides.
