The issuing ceremony of Chinese Zodiac stamps and the First-day cover for the Year of the Rabbit was held in Fiji, South Pacific on Jan 18. This set of stamps and first-day cover are jointly issued by the China Cultural Centre of Fiji and Post Fiji Pte Limited.
The issuing ceremony was held at the China Cultural Center of Fiji in the capital Suva. Wang Xuguang, Charge d 'Affaires of the Chinese Embassy in Fiji, delivered a speech that the rabbit represents hope and infinite vitality. In the New Year, more and more Chinese people will go abroad and embrace the world. It is reasonable for us to expect that in the Year of the Rabbit, China-Fiji cultural exchange will become more colorful and add stronger impetus to China-Fiji friendly relations.
Since 2016, Post Fiji Pte Limited and the China Cultural Center of Fiji have jointly issued zodiac stamps for eight consecutive years. Each year, the stamp designs highlight the cultural characteristics of China and Fiji, carrying the beautiful meaning of cultural exchange and friendship.
