In 2017, Jilie Ziri, a Yi ethinic group young man and the first college student from the mountainous Abuluoha Village in southwest China's Sichuan Province, decided to give up his job and return to his hometown.

After being elected as the village party secretary, Jilie Ziri led the villagers to plant navel oranges and walnuts. But without the transportaion accessbility, the sales of products met obstacles.

At that time, to get in and out of the village, Abuluoha villagers had to climb a path behind the village and walk up a steep rock to get to the township, which would take at least three hours.

In 2020, under the guidance of the poverty alleviation policy, the road connecting Abuluoha village started construction. This is a very difficult task for Jilie Ziri and other village cadres. The most challenging section need to be paved across a gully. It took a helicopter to bring in a crane and 57 days to complete the last kilometer of the road.

In June 2020, the once isolated town has finally been linked to the outside world with a winding hardened road, and the people's living standard has been greatly improved.

Born in 1995, Jilie Ziri is the youngest member of the Sichuan delegation at this year's two sessions. He said, he wanted to learn more experiences on rural revitalization from other deputies, and make greater contribution to his hometown.
