"Fast X" stays atop China's box office chart

BEIJING, May 23 (Xinhua) -- "Fast X" remained in the top spot of China's box office chart on Monday, data from the China Movie Data Information Network showed Tuesday.

The latest installment of the Fast and Furious action franchise generated a daily box office of nearly 32.36 million yuan (about 4.6 million U.S. dollars), bringing its total box office to 575 million yuan.

The domestic road comedy "Godspeed" came in second with a daily box office of 8.08 million yuan.

"Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3" stayed in third place, earning about 5.64 million yuan on Monday.
